Verifying Setup
Aftermountingandcalibratingthesensors,verifytheaccuracyofthesensorsandtheeffectivenessof
communicationwiththecontrolbox.Occasionally,thesesameverificationscanbeperformedafterseveral
monthsofusetoensurecontinuedexcavatingaccuracy.
For2Dsystems,thesectionsinthischapterarenotnecessaryasallverificationmethodsuseGPSantennas.
Therefore,elevationsmustbeverifiedfor2Dsystems.
Verifying Range of Motion
Verifyingtherangeofmotionvia3DMCwillensurethatallsensorsareworkingandcommunicatingwiththe
GX60ortheGX30.
Onthe
Main
screenof3DMC,viewaprofileandmovethevariouspartsofthemachine.
Forthebody,tiltthemachinefronttoback,thenlefttoright.Theonscreengraphicoftheexcavator
shouldtiltinthesamedirections.
Fortheboom,stickandbucket,slowlymoveeachthroughasmuchofthefullrangeofmotionaspractical.
Verifythesamemovementonthe3DMCscreen.

Ifafullrangeofmotiondoesnotoccurforthemachineimage,checkthefollowing:
Thecorrectsensorhasbeenselectedforeachmachineelementin3DMC.

Eachsensorisoperational.
Navigatetoeachsensor’scalibrationscreenandcheckthat

valuesarepresentandchangewith
themachine’smovement.Ifthevaluesareblank,thatsensorisnotreportingvalues:eitherthesensorhasnot
yetbeenfoundbytheGX60,orthesensorisnotfunctional.
