Enabling Hearing Aid Compatibility
If you use a hearing aid, you can configure the phone so that the output from the earpiece is optimized
for use with your hearing aid. By default, this option is set to “Off”.
1. Press the Options soft key.
2. Enter your voicemail password, and press the OK soft key.
The Options menu opens.
3. Press the navigation key to scroll to the Audio Settings option.
4. Press the Open soft key.
The Audio Settings menu is displayed.
5. With the HAC option highlighted, press the Toggle soft key.
The setting changes to “On”.
6. Press the Back soft key.
7. Press the Exit soft key.
Enabling Simultaneous Ring
If your ShoreTel Connect administrator has configured simultaneous ring capability for your phone, you
can designate up to two other phones to ring simultaneously when your phone rings. This is useful if
you are away from the office and want any calls to your extension to also ring a mobile or other phone
number.
For details on how to enable simultaneous ring, see Specifying Options for Availability States on page
35.
Enabling Handsfree Mode to Suppress Dial Tone for
Off-Hook Headsets
If you frequently use a headset, you might want to enable the Handsfree Mode so that you do not hear
the dial tone when you go off hook with your wired or wireless headset.
Note
Even with Handsfree Mode enabled, if you have unheard voicemail messages you hear a short stutter
tone.
